Four Sonnets for soprano and piano

Written by DiChiera in 1964-65, Four Sonnets is set to verses written by Edna St. Vincent Millay in 1922 - I, Being Born a Woman - What Lips My Lips Have Kissed, and Where, and Why - Time Does Not Bring Relief - Loving You Less Than Life, a Little Less. The work premiered at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, went on to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and has been widely performed since.
